There was controversy on the second morning of the third Test between England and New Zealand with the dismissal of Mitchell Santner. Santner was given out after the ball appeared to hit his glove, but the batter was convinced that the ball had hit his arm guard and reviewed.

However, the third umpire stuck with the original decision to give Ben Stokes a vital wicket and the 250th of his Test career.
